Every White Star Line ship, in brief

White Star Line's fleet belongs to history: the Olympic class (Olympic, Titanic, Britannic) crowned an Edwardian fleet of more than twenty liners before the company merged into Cunard-White Star in 1934.

We profile the flagships in full below — the rest of the fleet joins ships.fyi class by class.

Good to know

White Star Line, in a few facts

  • Ordered the Olympic class — Olympic, Titanic and Britannic — as the largest moving objects yet built, challenging Cunard on luxury rather than pace.
  • Lost Titanic in 1912 and Britannic, serving as a hospital ship, to a mine in 1916; only Olympic had a full career.
  • Merged with arch-rival Cunard in 1934 during the Depression — the combined company's ships flew both house flags for decades.
