How big is it, really?
The AIDAbella's length overall, against things you already know the size of.
The 747-8 held the longest-airliner record for over a decade, until Boeing's 777-9 took it by about 19 inches (76.72 m) — our sibling site aircraft.fyi measures everything that flies the same way.
One AIDAbella = 0.94 Titanics · 2.4 football pitches · 10 blue whales · 3.3 Boeing 747-8s laid end to end.

What makes it different
AIDAbella is the second Sphinx-series ship, a straight repeat of AIDAdiva delivered twelve months later — Meyer Werft turned out seven of these hulls between 2007 and 2013 at roughly one a year.
That cadence is what built AIDA. The line went from a niche German operator to Carnival Corporation's dominant brand in continental Europe on the back of this class, before moving up to the Hyperion pair and then the LNG giants.
She carries the fleet's signature bow art — eyes and red lips across the stem, a design that has been on every AIDA ship since the first. No other major cruise line paints a face on its ships, and it remains the most distinctive livery afloat.
