What makes it different
Majestic Princess is the Princess equivalent of Norwegian Joy — a large ship specified in detail for the Chinese market at the moment the industry was convinced China would become its largest growth region, and redeployed when it did not.
Her China fit-out included a hot-pot restaurant, a substantially enlarged retail area and Mandarin-language service throughout, and she was based at Shanghai from 2017. Princess pulled her out and sent her to Australia and North America, where she works Sydney-based seasons and Alaska summers.
Underneath the deployment story she is a standard Royal-class ship: 330 metres, the three-deck Piazza atrium, the glass-floored SeaWalk projecting over the ship's side, and around 3,560 guests at double occupancy.
