What makes it different
Celebrity Apex is the second and last Edge-class ship at the original size, sharing the 306-metre, 130,818-ton specification with her lead sister before Celebrity lengthened the design.
Her career started fourteen months late. She was scheduled to debut in April 2020, was finished on time, and then had nowhere to go — she was eventually christened in a virtual ceremony and did not carry paying passengers until June 2021, from Athens.
Everything that defines the class is present: the Magic Carpet moving platform on the starboard side, the Infinite Veranda cabins, the Grand Plaza atrium with its sculptural chandelier, and Eden, a three-deck glass-walled space at the stern that Celebrity has since reworked on later ships.
