The story

What makes it different

Azura is the second Ventura-class ship and about as close to her sister as two ships get — 290 metres, 115,055 gross tons, the same nineteen decks and the same six Wärtsilä diesels producing 67.2 MW.

Her delivery in 2010 sits either side of a change in the fleet's paperwork. She was registered at Southampton when new, and re-registered to Hamilton, Bermuda in 2011 with the rest of P&O's ships — a move that let captains legally marry couples at sea, which UK registry does not permit.

She carries an open-air cinema over the pool deck and a slightly more social layout than Ventura, but the two are routinely mistaken for each other, which is fair enough.

Reflagged
Registered at Southampton on delivery in 2010, then re-registered to Hamilton, Bermuda in 2011 along with the rest of the fleet — a change that allows captains to conduct legally binding weddings at sea.
