What makes it different
MSC World Europa is what Europe's largest privately owned shipping dynasty builds when it decides to compete at the very top of cruising. At 215,863 gross tons she is the largest cruise ship ever ordered by a European line, and the first of MSC's LNG-powered World class from Chantiers de l'Atlantique.
Her profile breaks with cruise convention: a near-vertical bow and a Y-shaped stern that opens the aft decks into an amphitheatre around the World Promenade, down which runs The Venom Drop — an eleven-deck dry slide that is the longest at sea.
She made her debut not on a cruise at all but as a floating hotel for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Doha, before starting Gulf and then Mediterranean seasons. Sister ship MSC World America followed to Miami in 2025, aimed squarely at the Icon and Oasis classes on their home turf.
