The story

What makes it different

Disney Destiny is the third Wish-class ship and follows the pattern the line has settled into: an identical 144,000-ton hull with an entirely different theme layered over it.

Where Disney Wish took enchantment and a castle-style Grand Hall, and Treasure took adventure and exploration, Destiny is built around heroes and villains — the first Disney ship to put a Marvel character at the centre of its atrium rather than a princess or a classic animated lead.

The mechanical package is unchanged: LNG dual-fuel, fourteen passenger decks, around 4,000 guests and 1,555 crew, and the AquaMouse water ride running above the top deck. Building three near-identical ships in four years is a marked change of pace for a line that went thirteen years between its first pair and its second.
