How big is it, really?
The Celebrity Silhouette's length overall, against things you already know the size of.
The 747-8 held the longest-airliner record for over a decade, until Boeing's 777-9 took it by about 19 inches (76.72 m) — our sibling site aircraft.fyi measures everything that flies the same way.
One Celebrity Silhouette = 1.18 Titanics · 3.0 football pitches · 13 blue whales · 4.2 Boeing 747-8s laid end to end.

What makes it different
Celebrity Silhouette is the fourth Solstice-class ship and a close repeat of the three before her — 317 metres, around 122,000 gross tons, seventeen decks, and the Lawn Club growing real grass on the roof.
Her small departure from her sisters is the Lawn Club Grill, an outdoor grill restaurant built into the lawn area where the earlier ships used the space for games and events. It was popular enough to be retrofitted to the rest of the class.
She is the Solstice ship British passengers know best, having spent repeated seasons based at Southampton on European itineraries, and she went through the line's Revolution refit programme in 2020 — a fleet-wide modernisation that reworked cabins and public rooms across the older ships.
