What makes it different
There have been two Queen Victorias, and the first one is sailing for someone else. Cunard ordered a Vista-class ship under the name, then Carnival Corporation reassigned the hull to P&O partway through construction — she entered service in 2005 as Arcadia, and remains in the P&O fleet today.
Cunard then had this ship built to a revised, larger specification, and she took the name in 2007. She is the smallest vessel in the fleet at around 90,049 gross tons, roughly 850 less than her sister Queen Elizabeth, whose squared stern gained a little extra volume.
Her sloping stern was later modified, narrowing the visual gap between the two sisters. Both are Fincantieri Vista hulls, the same platform underneath Holland America's four compass-named ships — three Carnival Corporation brands running the same drawings and selling completely different experiences on top of them.
