The story

What makes it different

Norwegian Luna is the second Prima-Plus ship and a close repeat of Norwegian Aqua, delivered by Fincantieri in March 2026 and in service the following month.

The Prima-Plus ships are the stretched version of the Prima platform — about 14,000 gross tons larger than Norwegian Prima and Viva, with the extra volume going into public rooms and an enlarged spa rather than a proportional increase in berths. The result is a ship carrying roughly 3,570 guests in the space some lines would use for 4,500.

Her additions over Aqua are mostly programming rather than structure: a larger Mandara Spa, a carnival-themed games area, and new production shows. Two further ships of 172,000 GT — a second stretch again — follow from 2027, which will make the Prima family NCL's largest ever by some margin.
