The story

What makes it different

Norwegian Luna is the second Prima-Plus ship and a close repeat of Norwegian Aqua, delivered by Fincantieri in March 2026 and in service the following month.

The Prima-Plus ships are the stretched version of the Prima platform, about 14,000 gross tons larger than Norwegian Prima and Viva, with the extra volume going into public rooms and an enlarged spa rather than a proportional increase in berths. The result is a ship carrying roughly 3,570 guests in the space some lines would use for 4,500.

Her additions over Aqua are mostly programming rather than structure: a larger Mandara Spa, a carnival-themed games area, and new production shows. Two further ships of 172,000 GT, a second stretch again, follow from 2027, which will make the Prima family NCL's largest ever by some margin.
