What makes it different
Disney Wish is deliberately not the biggest ship on this board, Disney sells space per guest, not guests per ship. At roughly 144,000 gross tons she carries only about 2,500 passengers at double occupancy, a ratio of volume to people that the mega-ships cannot match.
She was Disney's first new class in a decade and its first LNG-powered ship, built by Meyer Werft with a fairy-tale-castle Grand Hall in place of a traditional atrium and the AquaMouse, a ride Disney insists is an 'attraction at sea' rather than a waterslide, with show scenes played inside the tube.
The class formula worked: Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny followed in 2024 and 2025, and the Wish platform now anchors Disney's Port Canaveral operation alongside the original Magic-class ships.
