What makes it different
Queen Anne is the first new Cunarder in fourteen years and, in a fleet of four, an unusual proposition: she carries more passengers than any of her fleetmates while being roughly 35,000 gross tons smaller than Queen Mary 2.
The hull is Carnival Corporation's Pinnacle platform, stretched — the same basic design as Holland America's Koningsdam, Nieuw Statendam and Rotterdam, but longer and larger than all three. Cunard's contribution is the fit-out: Adam D. Tihany coordinated the interiors, with London's David Collins Studio brought in from luxury hotel work rather than shipbuilding.
She is the 249th ship to fly the Cunard house flag since Samuel Cunard founded the line in 1839, and she was named at Liverpool — the company's original home port — in June 2024, six months later than planned after pandemic-era supply problems delayed her delivery.
