The story

What makes it different

MSC Seashore is where the Seaside platform grew up. Fincantieri took the 2017 design, inserted a sixteen-metre section and an additional deck, and produced a ship of 170,412 gross tons — a little over 10 per cent larger than the original pair without redrawing the naval architecture.

The extra length went mostly into public space rather than cabins: a longer waterfront promenade, more aft terracing, and an enlarged Yacht Club. The result keeps the defining Seaside characteristic, which is how much of the ship faces outward rather than inward.

Delivered in July 2021 into a market still recovering from the shutdown, she has since alternated between Caribbean winters and Mediterranean summers, with sister ship MSC Seascape following a year behind her.
