What makes it different
Norwegian Bliss is the Breakaway-Plus ship built with a specific coastline in mind. NCL specified her for Alaska: a two-deck Observation Lounge wrapping the bow with floor-to-ceiling glass, and an efficiency package chosen to meet the environmental rules that govern ships working Alaskan waters.
Her hull carries a humpback whale mural by marine artist Wyland, spanning most of the ship's side — the largest of the artist-designed hulls NCL has commissioned, and a deliberate signal about where she was going to work.
At 168,028 gross tons she sits second in the fleet behind Norwegian Encore, and carries the same two-level go-kart track and Haven suite complex as her sisters. She has spent her career alternating Seattle-based Alaska summers with Caribbean and Mexican Riviera winters.
