Imabari is the largest shipbuilder in Japan and still family-run, a network of yards around the Seto Inland Sea whose Saijo dock built Ever Given and her Golden-class sisters for owner Shoei Kisen Kaisha — Imabari's own shipowning arm.
That structure — building ships, owning them, and chartering them to lines like Evergreen — is the traditional Japanese model, and it put Imabari's most anonymous product at the centre of the most famous shipping story of the century.
Side profiles are sized by real length overall — longer ships draw bigger. Categories are never mixed.
