The yard

The story so far

Part of the China State Shipbuilding Corporation, Hudong-Zhonghua delivered Ever Alot — the first container ship past 24,000 TEU — and led construction of the CMA CGM Jacques Saadé class, the first giant boxships powered by LNG.

It is also China's premier LNG-carrier builder, the yard that broke the Korean monopoly on membrane gas ships — a capability that made the Jacques Saadé project possible on home soil.
